Night 1: Hanoi - Lao Cai - Night train. ~10 h.
Departure from Hanoi at 9.30 pm.
Arrival in Lao Cai at 6.10 am.
Day 1: Lao Cai - Ha Giang: ~194 km, ~7 h.
Pick up the motorbike from Lao Cai station at 8.30 am. Drive to Ha Giang via Luc Yen.
Day 2: Ha Giang - Bao Lac: ~137 km.
Day 3: Bao Lac - Cao Bang - Quang Hoa: ~198 km, ~8 h.
Beautiful ride up to Cao Bang province. Few passes from where you can dominate the area. The road is easy but many curves. We can stop a lot. All together, stop for drinks and food it should be an 8-hour journey. In Cao Bang City, we stop to buy the authorization for Ban Gioc waterfall and then one more hour to reach the beautiful village of Quang Hoa, in the middle of a mountain circuit. This is the territory of Nung An people. Spend the night in our friend's house.
Day 4: Quang Hoa.
Na Tau is a completely unknown area that we propose to discover it by raft and motorbike. Rivers and waterfalls everywhere are extremely beautiful and wild. It is only 15 km from Quang Hoa.
Day 5: Quang Hoa - Lang Son. ~180 km, ~7 h.
Night in Lang Son.
Day 6: Lang Son - Hanoi: ~150 km, ~5 h.
We could also stop in Lang Son. Be then, we need one more day or one less in Quang Hoa. The road is asphalted almost of the way and it is possible to drive this tour even for beginners.
