There is usually no extra charge for upgrading of bikes under 250cc, but over 250cc due to heavy tax rate imposed by the government. Here are some bikes - still quality by Vietnamese standards and we did all the jobs ourselves - that we sell out to clear the way for better ones. All come with two months engine guarantee. There are cheaper bikes at Dich Vong second-hand markets in Hanoi but the sellers are well-known for replacing Chinese generic parts which will result in poor performance after just a few days of purchase. You will not only benefit from good maintenance and care from some of the best mechanics in Hanoi, but also have discounted price when you repair the bike at our garage. The garage is open every day from 8.30am till 7pm and we also provide technical assistance over the phone should you have problem(s) on the road. The front and back wheels come with flexible options, now installed with 21" front and 17" back but can be 19" front and/or 18" back to fit buyer's height but the price can be more expensive. Original and good engine, refreshed in late 2009 with some customized parts (luggage rack, side fenders, seat cover, new headlight, handle-bar, mirrors and front signal) and currently in good working conditions. STATUS: AVAILABLE Made in between 1996 and 2000 in Japan, single cylinder, 6 speeds, 110kg. Front and back drum brakes. Restored in late 2009 with some customized parts and currently in good working conditions. One XL125 made in 1996 has a brand-new Honda licensed engined (the original engine is also handed) and three XL125 made in 2000 have Honda original engines. Odo: ~50,000-70,000km. Restored in late 2009 with new piston 160cc and rings and currently in very good conditions (by Vietnamese standards), bike has some scratches during usage. Odo: ~80,000km. The improved features on this model over the identical black engine GL 150cc are five gears, reinforced kick starter support, auto-adjusted cam chain system which allow you to start the bike as easy as a moped scooter and minimize maintenance works. NOT AVAILABLE Honda @ Stream WH125T-2 125cc is probably the most affordable fully automatic scooter model Honda Wuyang manufactured in China. It shares lots of design of the famous Honda Spacy and is in fact a cheaper version of this model. The current odo is 14,500km. The @ Stream has typical gas mileage of 3.0 L/100 km. The steering system is a bit not really responsive due to small tire size (10"). Available for pick up now, in Hanoi only. This bike was registered in 2006 and has all legal documents from the original owner. The @ Stream has a large lockable center compartment, located below the seat, which can hold two helmets with room to spare. Only one scooter available for 700$US. Buy this bike. SYM ATTILA. REAL DISPLACEMENT: 125CC. STATUS: SOLD! NOT AVAILABLE Attila is probably the most successful fully automatic scooter model SYM Taiwan manufactures in Vietnam. It is a copy of the famous Honda Spacy (the very current model even copies the design from the Vespa LX - bad point!) and a good air cooled engine at a reasonable price (good point). The Attila has typical gas mileage of 3.0–4.0 L/100 km. The steering system is a bit not really responsive. Available for pick up from late 2009, in Hanoi only. This bike was registered in 2004 and will be sold by the original owner. The Attila has a large lockable center compartment, located below the seat, which can hold a helmet with room to spare. It also features electronic seat opening. Only one scooter available for 700$US. Buy this bike. HONDA WAVE ALPHA 100. REAL DISPLACEMENT: 100CC. STATUS: SOLD! However the seat is thin and shocks pretty hard comparing to road or trail bikes below. Buy this bike. HONDA CREA SCOOPY. REAL DISPLACEMENT: 50CC. STATUS: SOLD! NOT AVAILABLE The CHF50 is a scooter manufactured by Honda. It is known as the Metropolitan in the United States, the Jazz in Canada, the Scoopy in Australia and the Crea Scoopy in Japan. It can reach a maximum speed of just less than 40 mph (65 km/h) on flat ground and a maximum speed of 43 mph downhill. The Metropolitan has typical gas mileage of 80–110 mpg (US) (2.1–2.9 L/100 km). While the CHF50 is one of several 49 cc scooters offered by Honda since the early 1960s, it is notable for its "classic" Vespa-inspired styling and modern mechanical parts. In the United States, it debuted as the Metropolitan in model year 2002. The CHF50 has a large lockable center compartment, located below the seat, which can hold a helmet with room to spare. It also features locking handle bars which can lock the wheel at a 45 degree angle to make it harder to push. Only one scooter available for 1,200$US.
