Vietnam Motorcycle, Motorbike, Moped & Scooter Repair Services

REPAIR/MAINTAIN MOTORCYCLES, MOTORBIKES, MOPEDS & SCOOTERS IN HANOI

The man is Binh who has been a motorcycle mechanic since 2000 when he was only 15 years of age. He first worked for some famous big bike repair shops in Hanoi. Earlier in 2008, he ran a one man motorcycle shop in the centre of Hanoi, near Hoan Kiem lake at 3 Hang Muoi street. We built this page to help promoting his business to all motorcyclists in Hanoi.

Over the years Binh has learned a few things about engine repairs that can be applied to almost any engine. His shop is small and there are four mechanics working there at the moment, including him. He opens from 08.00 till 19.00 everyday.

Like almost all repair shops in Vietnam, the mechanics never check small things like brake lights, exposed wirings, bulbs, speedo and tachno metres...so make sure you check the bike thoroughly after he services your bike(s).

Unfortunately, he doesn't speak English and we can help you and him to understand each other.

You can also pay 200 USD a year to have your bike checked up every month or every 1,000km. This fee doesn't include engine oil change and replacement of broken part(s). An overall maintenance is done every three months.

CUSTOMIZED MOTORCYCLE SEATS

One of the best places you can have your motorcycle seat customized or upgraded is Ha Trung street in Hanoi, near the Hang Da market. Most of the motorcycles in Vietnam don't have seats thick enough or they are broken during their life-time.

We recommend Cuong's Motorcycle Seat at 12B Ha Trung street, their telephone number is 382 85 624.

KEEP YOUR MOTORCYCLE PLATE NUMBER PROTECTED

The first man in Hanoi who offers this service comes from Saigon, South Vietnam. His name is Tuan Mien Nam - Tuan from the South.

He charges 60,000.00 VND (about three American Dollars) and rest assured that your motorcycle plate number is waterproof, anti-theft and always looks as new. More and more men are into this fancy business, but he's still the best. All materials are imported from his brother's factory in Saigon, not just the cheap ones you can buy on the street.

You can find him on the pavement at 10 and 19 Nha Hoa street in Hanoi. His mobile number is 0907 781 672.

THE MAJOR BENEFITS OF USING HID LIGHTING ON A MOTORCYCLE

As HID headlights exploded in popularity among car and truck enthusiasts, it was still not inevitable that the biking community would follow suit. That’s because motorcycle drivers like to follow their own path, and the community has never just swerved to follow the majority. But with HIDs, things are different. The improved lighting effectiveness and style brought by these headlight upgrades, among other benefits, have made HIDs popular among bikers as well. With HIDs, you can better allay fears of on-road safety concerns, all the while increasing the value of your bike. Below, we'll go over three major advantages to using HID lighting on a motorcycle, so you can decide between HIDs and halogens when picking out your lighting upgrade.

1 - Visibility. When you drive a motorcycle, it’s pretty obvious your bike can’t pack quite the same punch with its headlight as a car or truck’s headlights can. HID headlights, however, are over 3x brighter than the stock halogens that come standard on most motorcycles, and can bring your bike’s lighting capability up to par with that of larger vehicles. Instead of having to focus your attention on the narrow beam of light illuminating the roadway, you’ll be able to expand your focus, as you’ll see increases in your peripheral vision as well.

2 - Safety. Motorcycles have a public image that equates them to being dangerous, reckless toys. While that’s certainly not the case, there is a greater risk of injury that comes with riding a motorcycle, specifically the fact that even if you’re a great driver, another poor driver can hit into you and you’ll have fewer protections to back you up. Brighter headlights mean quicker realizations by drivers that a biker’s on the road, which warns them to be extra careful when driving near you. HIDs also better illuminate road signs and highway markers than halogen lighting does, so you’ll be less likely to miss an important notice that may otherwise be obscured by your helmet during nighttime driving.

3 - Style. Bikers take the condition of their rides very seriously, and often spend a lot of time fine-tuning and upgrading their favorite machines. HIDs are simply the next logical step for those owners who want to upgrade their bikes to the max. An HID headlight can be customized to match your color preference, and can really add a fierce, exotic look to your bike’s appearance. Plus, these lights can last up to 10x as long as standard halogens, so you won’t have to worry about unsightly dim or flickering front-end lighting any time soon.
